Historic romantic castle

The castle is located about 5 km from the village of Ketpo, it can be reached by asphalt road throughout. Due to its distance from the built-up area, undisturbed, peaceful rest and the smooth conduct of various events are ensured.

The castle was built in the first half of the 19th century by the Almásy family as a hunting lodge. Then in 1938 it became the property of Szolnok Sugar Factory Co., where the apartment of the director of the sugar factory was established. Locals also referred to the building as a "sugar factory castle". After World War 2, a primary school was established in the nationalized castle. In the 1970s, the cooperative's service apartments were built within the walls of the building. In 1995 it became the property of an international company, today it is privately owned.

Currently, the building operates as an event venue and hotel, which underwent a complete exterior and interior renovation in 2016-2017. The 19 rooms (2 of which are double) can accommodate 48 people. All rooms are en suite with internet wifi. In the castle there is also an office, a small meeting room (about 8 people), 1 salon, restaurant, kitchen and a small wellness, as well as a staff section (changing room + shower). Next to the building there is an 8x15 meter outdoor pool, barbecue, live foosball court and other entertainment facilities.

The total area of the estate is 7.7 hectares. The castle measures 1100 m² and has 3 floors. The building is not under monument protection, therefore it can be freely adapted if required. From the point of view of utilities, there is electricity, water is provided from own wells (with a fresh water rights license valid for 5 years), it goes from a gas refillable tank. For heating, in addition to the gas boiler, a multi- fuel boiler is also available. An elevator shaft can be found inside a building.
